Are Blogs the new Time Capsules? Not the kind that time travel is conducted in but the kind you bury in the ground and hope will be found in many years time. These usually contain items from every day life that were used at the time of the capsule being buried, but will blogs be the way forward to let people of the future know what 'real' life was like in the early 21st Century?

The Name
Well, thought it might be time to explain where the name for the Naked Chasm Jumpers came from.
During our first group discussion, we had to think of a name for this Blog. Many ideas were suggested but we couldn't come up with any. Darren came up with a little story of a presentation he started with the phrase - ' I will be carrying out this presentation naked.' By that statement he didn't mean that he would actually stand there naked, he meant he would do it without Powerpoint slides! Something that is unusual in the world of presentations these days. So this is where Naked came from as we have to present on this blog site without Powerpoint slides.
'Chasm jumpers' is in reference to Geoffrey Moores book 'Crossing the Chasm'. The group has decided to carry out a review of this book, which will be posted on this site. I believe it is also a reference to the group jumping a chasm in our knowledge, as we really didn't know much about Blogs or Blog sites prior to us starting the MIS course of the Executive MBA at Manchester Business School.
